Our Addiction Treatment Programs
Muir Wood offers residential addiction treatment programs for boys (ages 12 to 17), as well as an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for both boys and girls (ages 12 to 18). Both residential and outpatient treatment programs serve an important role at different stages of your child’s recovery process.
The boys’ residential program at Muir Wood is situated on six idyllic acres in Sonoma County, CA and accepts a maximum of six boys in treatment at one time. Our residential treatment program includes our comprehensive diagnostic services, academics, and extensive family involvement. Lengths of stay are typically 45 to 90 days. Find out more about our residential treatment program here.
Our IOP is conveniently located in a warm and inviting office just off of Highway 101 in Mill Valley, CA. We accept young men and women who do not need the higher level of structure and intensive services of residential care. The IOP is designed for boys and girls who are discharging from a residential program, or who live at home and are in the early stages of substance abuse. The program includes individual and group therapy 4 times per week, individual family therapy and a Multi-Family Process Group. Read more about our IOP Program here.
Determining the appropriate level of care is critical for the long-term success of your child’s treatment. Please call us (or the doctor or therapist who recommended Muir Wood) to discuss your child’s unique situation and the level of care that will be most effective.
